Taking the bull by its horns in America was when my real life began. Before that raising 6 children, teaching in the university for 3 yrs., dabbling in a business career as Collection Manager & Cashier of the 2nd biggest Mercedes Benz dealership in the Philippines seemed like a breeze. Armed with my cashiering background, I took a teller job with Citibank back when it started the revolution of making tellers a part of their sales force. I gained the title of “Touchdown Tess” because I led the teller crew in sales. I graduated to personal banker in the main office downtown where I was their top salesperson winning many sales contests. Wanting to be a mortgage officer, I joined a pool assigned to service the Northshore branches of the bank, landing a permanent position at the Old Orchard branch which because of my achievements awarded me the coveted Citigold Representative managerial position. I was assigned to the portfolios of high end clients. After 9 yrs. with Citibank, I decided to venture on my own, starting as a loan officer and embarking on a real estate career shortly after. Why not? These 2 careers work hand in hand. I created then a fool-proof one-stop-shop operation. All my purchase contracts closed almost 100% of the time because I was handling the loan applications as well. THIS is my special ability. Wearing 2 hats guaranteed closings. Most especially in these trying times where it is more difficult to get a mortgage approved, my being a licensed loan originator is a most valuable asset.And this is why I specialize with 1st time homebuyers, which is not to say that I don’t handle clients upgrading. I have handled many a double deal , a simultaneous selling of client homes and buying their upgraded homes.
After being with another company for 15 yrs., now, I’ve decided to join Century 21 SGR because I believe that it has the organization to face and survive these very challenging times in real estate. Although, I am basically a buyer’s agent, I would like to go beyond my comfort zone, take more listings, tackle the short sale market, get more training & acquire more designations; all of this with the end goal to SELL, SELL, SELL with OPTIMUM SERVICE. I plan to reestablish connections with past clients, to re-energize my client base hoping to acquire more referrals. I am excited to use the lead-router system and utilize it to expand my business.
Incidentally, all in the spirit of change and progress, I’ve also joined Eurobank as a new loan officer.
